A teaching model for motivation and productivity
CARES is an acronym for a model of teaching on motivation and productivity. These buttons are "hot" that the supervisor must press for an employee to customer service and generate a profit for employer. This model was built by me in 1972 and has been tested with many companies in the measure and has been successful. The model is presented as a static page on my blog.
Now, here is the rest of the story.
As I said the model was Built in 1972 by myself and the wine is on the point because I was the Vice President of Human Resources Burger King Corporation at the time, and as such, was responsible for training and development programs in the business. Our marketing department is ready to launch a new advertising entitled "Have It Your Way" and something needed to motivate employees to perform at a high level.
At that time, I was familiar with most theories of motivation and productivity and that attracted me was the hierarchy needs Maslow. At the same time, Disney Disney World opened and I was impressed by the work he had done with the development employee attitudes theme park.
I visited Disney training center and found that they went beyond the traditional methods of recruitment and training. They pre-packaged their employees only to apply for real jobs, but a test for a role in a play. His office has been recruiting called a "Casting Office." They have learned to treat customers as they would treat "people" visiting their homes. Inspired by what I saw at Disney and Maslow's hierarchy of needs in hand, I began to think with my team we had and what we could do to meet the challenge of maximizing our human resources.
We knew there were five levels of hierarchy Maslow's Needs. The question was how to apply Maslow's theory on what the client wants and the company expects its employees. First, looked at the business itself and is a track that spoke of the promise delivered affordable fast food to taste. He broke into five parts, to link theory and we thought, product, quality, personalized service, timely delivery, and the actual value. We knew what the company wanted its employees and that it was an "obvious" divided into five parts: work, efficiency, loyalty, production, and profit. Well, we put all these things "right" to the board and found that the relationship had gone to link the company wants the customer wants. Not really, recognize that the link was used, and Thanks Maslow knew that the employee needs. The trick is how push the worker "Hot Buttons' to activate links.
The answer lies in going beyond Maslow and drawing on the theories of some other behavioral scientists, as Herzberg, Gellerman, Kay, McClennan, and Vince Lombardi. And who gave us the following: Take the time to know and recognize the basic needs of employees, education employees to build confidence to show respect for the work they do and to show appreciation for a job well done, and communicate the goals and objectives.
Well, now we had the model. However, before we deploy, we have amended the current organizational structure in the restaurant. This meant the addition of two positions, one for a specialist crew would be responsible for implementing and monitoring the orientation of a new training program. The second Hostess position is primarily responsible for coordination and monitoring role of the customer relationship in the resaurant. We decided to test the concept in one of our neighborhoods in Detroit. We took 12 restaurants and divide them into two groups of six. We have acted as a control group where all apply the model of care, the group operates as usual.
The employee lounge meeting room for the environment has become the CARES program and now has pictures of how the facade of the restaurant has evolved over time, plus a history of the company. A large mirror was placed on the back of the door so that employees could see the way to the kitchen, we have had a make-up children of vocational education, and some types of grandmother who worked at the restaurant, how to apply makeup. (When This new activity has declined, we began to have an avalanche of applications for positions in restaurants. An advantage that has not). Service Customer special courses and hospitality have been launched. Sponsor a dance party for employees in the control group only. Storyboards were created in different positions in the restaurant for a new employee could easily refer to measures of operating position. When comparing the operating accounts of the two groups after 6 weeks, the group has adopted another CARES group performance in all areas. Our controllable costs labor and food were made, and our customers and sales increased. An incredible difference in motivation and productivity, that profits alone.
Since then, I went ahead and started my own consulting business and took me and the model CARES showed several business clients in a variety of industries. And I am proud to announce that after 30 years of implementation is a success. It is a powerful model once you understand and should be applied in any company that wants to recognize and maximize human capital.

Mermaid Halloween costume help? 10 points for best answer!?
My friend and I want to be a mermaid for Halloween, but we will not be cheap "disney ariel" search sirens. we can not really find clothes that are 30ish dollars that are cheap enough and not watching what they thought of buying the tails separately, and make our own lids. We plan our coverage of high world (without belly shirt bra coconut /.) We thought of using a sequin bra, or with another sequined tank top underneath or something "majestic / mermaidy" The stores that were planning on ordering from places like Target, Forever 21, controls, etc. who do not want not spend much money. Can you please help us find good tapas (links) and beautiful mermaid tail that arent expensive (20-30 dollars) and accessories? thank you!
